The massive hit album from Taio Cruz was released in 2010, and almost instantly, the love for Dynamite took over. Now a staple song of the modern teenager's childhood, the song is still doing well, as it has over a billion streams on Spotify. While nowhere near perfect, the album does a great job of being a good album from its time.

Dynamite
And what makes it the best
Songs that stand the test of time usually all have something in common on why they remain that good for that long. The reason this song is as good as it is still, for lack of better words, is just because it slaps. The song came out almost fourteen years ago but still feels new with every listen because of how well it was produced and the vocal delivery by Taio Cruz never getting to a point where it's boring even today. The lyrics can, at times, fall short with their depth as most of the lyrics can be summed up with them being at a club and having a really great time. Despite the fact that they're generic, that can actually help it to last over time because anyone can relate to them. The backing track and mixing are what really carries this song in stride, as the autotune and instruments are done well on the song. The synths and guitars in the sold really combine to a point where they stand out against Taio Cruz’s vocals.
Come On Girl
And why its so horrible
As far as good songs on the album, I’d say there are more good than bad. In reality, none of the songs are really too bad. When it comes to the worst, though, one really stands out: Come on, Girl. To put it bluntly, the lyrics to the song make me feel straight-up uncomfortable. The horrible way too techno starts the song just sounds bad, and when I hear an autotune voice say, “I love how you shake that little booty around the club,” I cringe beyond belief. The rising notes at the end of sentences don’t help the song either, as it makes it seem like something Yuno Miles would do or make it seem like a joke. The lyrics continue to be poorly written and badly executed as they go on to say uncomfortable stuff such as “I can see the look inside your eyes, and I know that you want it”. The questionable lyrics aside, the song just sounds bad and like a dollar store attempt at sounding like the Black Eyed Peas in the worst way possible. In the end, the vocals are crappy, the lyrics are bad, and the song overall is just not very good, downright horrible.
Final Rating
The second studio album and blow-up album by half Nigerian and half Brazilian artists from Britain was a major success. To this day, the hit song Dynamite has amassed a billion streams or more on Spotify. The album is his most successful project released and a staple of some of the era's blend of pop and EDM songs. Overall, the project has some pretty good songs that allow Taio Cruz to show off some of his vocal talent, but others that are just ok.
