Tone Deaf Reviews was founded in April of 2024 when Joshua Garner was inspired to make a platform to share his opinions with the world about the music, artists, and songs he enjoyed. In doing so, he created the Tone Deaf Reviews Instagram account to start sharing.

The name “Tone Deaf Reviews” comes from Joshua’s personal way of critiquing music unbiasedly towards one music taste. With the style of critiquing, some could consider the reviews to be “tone-deaf” and not match their opinions.
