1. Introduction ToneAdapt ("we", "our", "us") operates the ToneAdapt Android application. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
2. Information We Collect
Account data: Email address and display name, collected via Clerk during sign-up
Gear data: Guitar, amp, and pedal information you enter manually
Tone history: Songs searched and settings generated
Saved tones: Tones you choose to save
Usage data: Feature interactions and crash logs for app improvement
Payment data: Subscription status only. Billing is handled exclusively by Google Play — we never receive or store your card details
3. How We Use Your Information
To generate tone match results using AI (your song and gear data is sent to OpenRouter/Anthropic to produce results)
To store and sync your gear and saved tones via Supabase
To manage your account and subscription
To improve app performance and fix issues
4. Third-Party Services Your data is shared with the following to operate the app:
Clerk — user authentication
Supabase — secure database storage
OpenRouter / Anthropic — AI tone generation (song name and gear data only)
Google Play — subscription billing
5. Data Retention
Account data: retained while your account is active; deleted within 30 days of account deletion
Gear and tone data: deleted upon account deletion
Payment records: retained as required by applicable law
6. Data Security We implement industry-standard measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
7. Children's Privacy ToneAdapt is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Your Rights You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. You may delete your account directly within the app.
9. Changes to This Policy We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect.
