Register today for Tom's Walk 2026!
Tom’s Walk is more than an event — it’s a heartfelt journey that began in 2018, just six weeks after we lost Tom to mental illness. Each May since, this annual memorial walk has brought our community together in remembrance, connection, and hope. By 2024, it grew into the Tom’s Walk for Mental Health Society, a non‑profit rooted deeply in our hearts and in Tom’s legacy.
While the walk carries Tom’s name, our mission extends far beyond a single day. Throughout the year, we share mental health resources, host fundraising events, and create opportunities for connection and support. Our goal is to spread hope, strengthen resilience, and help ensure that no one has to navigate their mental health journey alone.
This walk — and the community around it — isn’t only about raising awareness of mental health challenges. It’s a safe, welcoming space where we share our stories, support one another, and honour the memories of those we’ve lost, speaking their names and carrying them with us.
We invite you to walk with us, share your story, and be part of this compassionate community.

Memories from this year's walk!!
Here is our
2026 shirt design.
What do you think? Be sure to order yours when the link opens!
Tom loved the letters S and G in his art. In this one, he included pink and blue. These colors look great on a variety of colors, so we chose to have this year's shirts in purple, blue, and black. We look forward to seeing all the colors!
If you like Tom's art, you'd love his quotes! We have Tom's Quote shirts available on our site. They're awesome, and he'd love seeing us wear them!
A huge thank you to Shane and Shauna Oftsie at CE Media in Thorsby for supporting Tom's Walk every step of the way! Need awesome SWAG for your business? Give them a call!

Remembering our Loved Ones who have lost their fight with their Mental Health
We are deeply honoured to introduce The Memory Wall, a special space dedicated to celebrating the lives of our loved ones who, like Tom, faced the devastating challenges of mental health and tragically lost their battle through suicide or drug overdose.
This is a special place for reflection, where we can remember and honour their lives, sharing their names with joy and love.
If you or someone you know has lost a loved one to mental health struggles, we invite you to reach out to Tom's Walk to share your loved one's stories and keep their memories alive.
Tom was a wonderful singer/songwriter. His music has been enjoyed by many and now you can enjoy it too. Consider making a donation to The SILA Skills Group if you download any songs. Thanks.

SILA Skills is a non-profit that emerged from our experiences with Tom. Inspired by the transformational skills Kelly learned from Sashbear, she and others founded SILA Skills to share these techniques. Having experienced their positive impact both at home and in her classroom, Kelly recognized their potential to help others in high-stress environments.
Whenever we had a question about how to find help, CMHA was one of the main local resources we consulted. The staff were kind, compassionate, and resourceful.

Nurtured Minds Wellness
At Nurtured Minds Wellness Group, we believe healing happens when people are met as whole humans, not as problems to be fixed.
The mind, body, nervous system, relationships, and environments we move through are deeply interconnected. When one part is under strain, the others respond. Our work is rooted in this understanding, offering therapy that goes beyond symptom management and supports lasting change through safety, connection, and skillful care.
Nurtured Minds was created from a desire to do things differently. To move away from reactive, short-term solutions and toward deeper, more sustainable healing. We support people through difficult seasons, life transitions, and long-standing patterns with an approach that honours both science and humanity.
