I'm a proud alum of the Iowa Reading Corps, an AmeriCorps program that helps elementary school students develop their reading skills. I have also served as a workshop instructor for the Midwest Writing Center's Young Emerging Writers Program and as a day camp leader with the Iowa Youth Writing Project. My love of stories has even led me to publish my own book!
