Pt ionic liquids:
Square planar Pt(II) complexes exhibit stimuli responsive luminescence due to the presence and/or degree of metal-metal interactions in solid states. We hypothesized that liquid materials using Pt(II) complexes can exhibit dual emission from monomer and dimer/oligomers. Obtained Pt(II) complex based ionic liquids show MMLCT (metal-metal-to-ligand charge transfer) and LC (ligand-centered) chromic luminescence depending on temperature.
