Description

TomoGauss is a software program for 3D noise filtering of tomograms in Electron Tomography, CryoET and volume Electron Microscopy. It contains an optimized implementation of 3D Gaussian filtering using three 1D convolutions with recursive filters and making use of parallel computing and code optimization.

A description of the Gaussian filtering procedure is available in the following articles, where it is known as scale-space.
