Currently I'm a part of four main collaborative groups that allow me to share my ideas, strategies, pedagogical thoughts, edtech tools, and so much more! The four groups that I'm a part of are:
The BISDwired Team is my work team. I'm an Instructional Technology Specialist in Brenham, TX. There are 3 of us on our team including myself. I work at the 4 Elementary campuses, Troy Kuhn works at the Middle and Junior High, and Brittni Knebel works at the High School, Central Office, and our alternative campus. Together, we collaborate and write on a daily blog, and the 3 of us have written around 1,300 blog post over the past 8 years. We collaborate and plan every week, provide hundreds of hours of professional development every year to our district staff, and help teachers in their classrooms through planning, mentoring, modeling lessons, working with students, etc.

FreshThoughtEDU was started a while back between my awesome friend, Meredith Akers, and myself. Meredith is a principal in CyFair ISD. Together we wanted to create something that would allow us to work together, collaborate on educational topics, and share our ideas, thoughts, and resources. So, we decided to start creating short, 2 minute videos and share them through an account on Twitter. Thus coming up with the creation, "Twitter-casts". These two minute snippets allow us an opportunity to share excellent, and fresh edtech, educational, and purpose-driven ideas out to our followers.

Over the past year, we've also been storing all out FreshThoughtEDU videos on YouTube.
Our awesome collaborative Twitter chat group, @txedmod, started many years ago! Even as the members have changed over the years, the thing that has remained constant is our groups goal to always provide exceptional opportunities to fellow educators to share ideas and collaborate online! Our twitter chat, #TXed, is on every Wed. night, starting at 8:30 pm CST.
