Comedy Shorts
Founded and produced by Tom Short, Comedy Shorts is an annual Edinburgh Fringe showcase dedicated to celebrating alternative comedy, emerging performers and experimental work.
Since its launch, the show has featured hundreds of comedians, writers and performers from across the UK, providing a platform for new acts alongside established names. Built around Tom’s belief that comedy should be accessible and collaborative, Comedy Shorts has become a regular fixture of his Fringe activity and a launchpad for developing talent.
Running for over eight years, the show has welcomed performers from a wide range of backgrounds and disciplines, including stand-up comedians, sketch groups, improvisers, character acts and theatre-makers. Many previous participants have gone on to receive festival awards, television opportunities and national recognition.
Part showcase, part community project and part celebration of the comedy scene, Comedy Shorts reflects Tom’s commitment to creating opportunities for others whilst championing innovative and unconventional performance.
