After our boy Toby (the "To" of Toley) suddenly passed away from an injury and ultimately IVDD, it became our mission to do better for the breed, in memory of that boy we loved so much. We quickly learned that so many other people were just like us - ignorant about the health and health risks of French Bulldogs, often never hearing about IVDD until their own dog was in pain. What was worse, breeders didn't know or didn't care, never educating their buyers at all.

Now we spend way too much time online trying to educate others about the breed - and whether it really is the right dog for you... while simultaneously trying to convince other breeders to step up their game and do better. And that might be the biggest challenge of all.

Plus, we're really good at raising puppies. Our doors are always open, taking in clefts and helping whelp litters for others. Our emergency nursery is fully equipped with oxygen and incubators, ready when the time comes... but we still hope it doesn't.
