Japan JWST Cycle 1 Proposal Workshop (Remote)

March 10, 2020, University of Tokyo, Hongo Campus

AN IMPORTANT UPDATE

Due to the situation with the COVID-19 virus, we have changed from a 2-day workshop to a 1-day remote workshop on Tuesday, March 10th. Please see the Program & Materials page for the latest agenda.

Motivation. The science timeline has been set for Cycle 1 of the James Webb Space Telescope, and the deadline for proposals will be on May 1, 2020. Given the complexity of the JWST proposal planning tools (e.g. APT and ETC), we will host a 1-day remote workshop to train participants on how to use these proposal tools and to stimulate proposal ideas for Cycle 1. We will emphasize a hands-on experience with the proposal tools by working through various JWST observing templates that utilize the different key observing modes.

Workshop Details. The workshop will be held remotely and the language used in this workshop will be English.

Registration. There is no registration fee for this workshop. Registration is now closed.
