There are many websites with articles in simplified English for students like you!

1. Japan Times ST - read short, simplified news articles. You can translate difficult words into Japanese.

2. The Times in Plain English - read the daily news in simple English.

3. Mainichi Weekly News - read simplified news. You can also listen while you read. There are bilingual vocabulary lists.

4. News in Levels - you can choose to read the news in 3 levels. (Skip the level check.)

5. NHK World - daily news articles and videos from Japan's national broadcaster

1. Science News for Students - this is an excellent online magazine for students. There is a section on Earth and Environment.

1. Positive News - a news site which focuses on positive news stories

2. New Internationalist Easier English Wiki - this is a monthly magazine about global issues. The articles are in simple English.

1. British Council LearnEnglish "Magazine Zone" - Essays and articles at two levels (intermediate B1 and upper intermediate B2), with quizzes and discussion questions.

2. British Council Graded Readers - Simple English stories on many interesting topics.

3. Japan Times ST Weekly Essays - read simplified essays from the Japan Times.
