Bryan used to be a PH, blockman (butcher) and biltong sales person, while he was running a game farm in South Africa
Bryan brings a wealth of experience to this venture. As a former General Manager of a game farm and hunting lodge in Heidelberg, Gauteng, and a skilled blockman with years of expertise in organic meats and biltong sales at the Bryanston Organic Market, Bryan has honed his craft over the years. Starting this venture in 2024, he has now combined his skills with Ashleigh’s meticulous touch to create high-quality, small-batch biltong and drywors.
Ashleigh is Bryan's partner in crime, responsible for taste testing, quality control and all things hygiene
Ashleigh and Bryan's adventures stretch back to 2012
Ashleigh and Bryan just welcomed a little one to the team. His name is Max. And Max didn't choose the Braai life, the Braai life chose him.
A Message from Taste Of Home
Howzit!
Biltong isn’t just a snack—it’s a tradition, a taste of home.
It started with a butchery apprenticeship then to running a butchery and food stall for a Safari Game Lodge. We left the smell of sundowners and braai's, and landed in a kitchen in Crowborough UK, the journey of Taste Of Home Biltong has been a wild one!
Now, sitting in the UK, there’s one thing that still makes us feel properly South African—biltong.
So, whether you’re pairing this biltong with a Castle Lager, a Uk pint , or a cup of Yorkshire Tea, know that each slice carries a little bit of SA, made with brilliant British Beef, and it’s made to be shared.
Dankie, Cheers, and Thank You! Every order keeps this dream alive.
We’d love to hear what you think—drop us a message, send us a pic, or just let us know how you found your biltong.
