COMMITTED TO HELPING LESS FORTUNATE CHILDREN AND WOMEN
Together With One Accord CBO, a non-profit organization in Kenya, is advocating to promote and encourage human development and education among the less fortunate youths, children, and women population in the rural areas who are affected and infected by the pandemic, HIV/AIDS, and other social and physical calamities.
PROJECTS FOR THE COMMUNITY
We equip the girls and women of the rural areas in Siaya with enough knowledge to combat period poverty.
We organize projects that increase school attendance of girls to empower them to have a positive and active role in society.
Limited access to safe, affordable convenient, and appropriate methods for dealing with menstruation has far-reaching implications for the rights, physical, social, and mental wellbeing of many women and girls in the community.
This had made it difficult to extend help due to the limited resources we have.
We provide food and basic daily needs to the families of 7 vulnerable children.
This hasn’t been able to run smoothly due to the unavailability of resources and funds to make this successful.
A baby project of ours that aims to sell the produce to the community to enable us to provide a balanced diet to families who have no access to healthy food. This project also provides employment to two farmhands to gather water from a nearby pond.
We currently lack water storage facilities that help us to store water for irrigation. This is what we need right now to make sure that this project will be a success.
We buy water from ponds arranged in the village which is seasonal and dries up during short rains.
