Brain, body, and world are united in a complex dance of circular causation and extended computational activity. In Being There, Andy Clark weaves these several threads into a pleasing whole and goes on to address foundational questions concerning the new tools and techniques needed to make sense of the emerging sciences of the embodied mind. Clark brings together ideas and techniques from robotics, neuroscience, infant psychology, and artificial intelligence. He addresses a broad range of adaptive behaviors, from cockroach locomotion to the role of linguistic artifacts in higher-level thought.

Being able to spend time with family again seems richer and more meaningful after so much time apart. FaceTime kept me in touch with my two granddaughters, but how wonderful it is to be able to hug each other again! This is Lyla and me, hiking one of the beautiful trails together.

For the first time in 11 years, New Japan, All Japan and Pro-Wrestling NOAH come together on Friday June 9 for All Together Again. With a loaded lineup, fans will get a taste of the best of all three companies, and a spectacular event in Ryogoku Sumo Hall.

Recently reunited under AXIZ as Katsuhiko Nakajima left former factional home Kongo earlier in the spring, Nakajima and perennial NOAH ace Go Shiozaki face Hokuto Omori and Satoshi Kojima. Can the New and All Japan alliance of Kojima and Omori put up a strong united front against the combined AXIZ force?

Together Again blanket knitting pattern is fun to knit with bulky weight yarn. A 24-row repeat creates an interesting geometric pattern and a reversible design. The pattern name is inspired by joyful moments when we gather together again with family and friends.

Finn manages to free himself from a Dream Parasite's grasp after noticing his "backpack's" strange behavior, and he realizes that the whole thing was a hallucination. Finn has passed away naturally and is now seen amongst various older characters in a cave, which leads to the entrance to the Land of the Dead. Upon realizing he is dead, Finn excitedly rushes through the gate (once again not listening to the Gate Guardian) knowing he can finally be with Jake again. He believes he has spotted Jake, only to unexpectedly find Mr. Fox. Mr. Fox explains that he is Finn's assigned guide to the Dead World, but it is evident that Finn is dead-set on finding Jake. Mr. Fox informs Finn that he can appear as any past version of himself, whether it be a different age, past life, or temporary transformation. After briefly transforming into different versions and past incarnations (including Shoko) Finn decides to go with his "recognizable" teenage self. After Finn demands to meet New Death at his castle, the two meet Tiffany, who is now one of the guards working for New Death. After taking a tour of the castle (and knocking Tiffany out cold), Finn finds New Death messing around in his throne room. New Death is completely different from his predecessor, reckless and not to be reasoned with. His angsty teenage attitude causes him to get frustrated at even minor inconveniences, which makes him threaten Finn and Tiffany's second death. However, when he hears Finn say he'll do whatever it takes to reach the 50th dead world, New Death gains a sinister grin, then surprisingly spares him and kicks him out. Because Finn's interference nearly had him sliced into nothing, Tiffany believes that they're enemies again. Finn apologizes and reminds him of their bonds with Jake, only to betray his trust and steal his undertaker pipe.

He and Finn say goodbye to Joshua, Margaret, Jermaine, and Tiffany, and Finn then opens up to Jake on how he felt after his death; he had other things to live for, but deep down he was just waiting until he could die and be with Jake again. Finn then asks to be reincarnated, to which Mr. Fox agrees, while Jake decides to remain in the 50th dead world. However, Jake ends up changing his mind at the last minute and rushes to join Finn. They fist bump one final time, finding themselves together again.

On Friday, Jackson performed a concert in Charlotte, North Carolina, which was attended by none other than Tom Cruise. The Top Gun: Maverick star met with the singer backstage to catch up, which she shared by posting a photo of them posing together on her Instagram page.

"Bus, thank you for joining us last night. I love you so much!!! Not just for sharing your amazing craft with the world but more importantly, your incredible soul! So beautiful!!! Thank you once again, I love you ??? #TogetherAgainTour," she wrote to the rapper alongside photos of their time together onstage.

I was immensely lucky to be able to rely on the support of the other BECA volunteers on the ground during that time. We all got along very well and had lots of fun together despite the Covid restrictions. The fact that I got to live in the same house as my awesome admin made my job as a teacher so much easier. And one of those volunteers turned out to be my girlfriend.

Our greeting passed in a frenetic blur of hugs, hollers, and the nurses trying, to no avail, to referee our absolute freakout. It felt like coming home to Sophie, my beloved dog, after a long time away and there was nothing better than that feeling, for it was the feeling of unconditional love. The nurses kept berating us to practice volume control and contain our zest but no amount of scolding could make us tone it down. We were back together and as we danced our way through the most colorful discharge the ward had likely ever seen, I lived, in every fiber of my being, for the first time in that hollow, whitewashed space, the truth that hope was possible in that place because together, we created it.

I have found better footing this week. Then again, I also didn’t sort anywhere near as many tupperwares of old clothes and memory boxes so I am sure that played a part in my nervous system settling down.

I barely slept that night but it didn’t matter. The excitement of seeing Maura and of beginning our chapter of freedom together offered more than enough energy to get me to the hospital to pick her up the next day. Pulling my Tacoma into the same lot I had done just a few weeks earlier, I was met with a wave of flashbacks – nights I’d arrived there covered in my excrement, afternoons where my parents had escorted me into the emergency department. That hospital contained a wealth of memories that held nothing but shame. In mere moments, the recollection of their existence began to shrink me – to swallow the joy and enthusiasm that had been pulsing within me mere moments earlier. I wanted to run – just as I had done before Bob Drake’s lecture. I wanted to disappear but I realized the only thing I wanted more than that, was to do so with Maura. So I opened the door of the truck and walked into the hospital.

Finally wisening up to the fact that playing by the nurse’s and hospital’s rules might actually expedite our exit, I convinced Maura to quiet herself long enough to talk my way through the paperwork, discharge plan, and the schedule Maura had laid out for the next few days. I knew how to play the ward’s game practically better than they did and I answered each question as if I was my mom or dad when they picked me up — acknowledging risks, emphasizing the importance of structure, and repeating over and over again how critical it was that structure and sleep hygiene were practiced each and every day to mitigate a relapse. After Maura signed the final page of her discharge paperwork, it was time. Arm and arm with wide gleaming smiles on both our faces, we walked out finally back together once again as the locked door closed behind us.

So, this may be a silly question, but I was wondering if, after a Shard is splintered, there is a way to bring the pieces together again to allow a new Vessel to take on the Shard.

I get the sense that this is probably something that depends on certain conditions, mainly the amount of time that has passed since the Shard has been splintered, but if you had enough power yourself, and it hadn't been a long time, do you guys think it's possible for a splintered Shard to be 'put back together,' so to speak?

I think the only official answer we have at this point is "RAFO". But in terms of theorycrafting, I'm of the opinion that if someone managed to channel insane amounts of a splintered Shard's Investiture and had the right Cognitive identity, they'd be able to splice the Shard back together. It would take truly enormous amounts of Investiture to do that, though--possibly more than Vin channeled through the mists at the end of HoA--so there may be easier ways to do it. Or that idea might not work at all. (I mean, to do that with Honor, you'd basically have to gather all of the spheres, gemstones, and highstorms into a single area and somehow channel all of the Stormlight into an appropriate Vessel.) But if I had to put a Shard back together, that's probably how I'd go about doing it. e24fc04721
