If you want a robust, multi-key storage solution to protect your vehicle signals from theft during long-haul trucking, choose Todoxi Faraday Box &; if you need a complete replacement remote for a Dodge Grand Caravan or Chrysler Town & Country to get back on the road, choose TuhrcIppwrs DIY Keyless Entry. These two products serve fundamentally different purposes in the automotive ecosystem: one is a defensive shield for your existing keys, while the other is an active replacement tool for a broken entry system. Confusing them leads to frustration, so I am making this distinction immediately clear. The Todoxi kit is about prevention and organization, whereas the TuhrcIppwrs unit is about restoration and functionality.
• Todoxi Faraday Box &: Its greatest strength is the ability to block signals for 5–8 keys simultaneously using a rigid box and two color-coded pouches, but its biggest trade-off is that it cannot store smartphones or large tablets. This pick is for drivers who carry multiple sets of keys and worry about relay attacks.
• TuhrcIppwrs DIY Keyless Entry: Its primary advantage is the ability to program a new remote yourself using an OBD II tool without visiting a dealership, yet it is strictly limited to specific Chrysler and Dodge models from 2008–2019. This pick is for owners of those specific vans who have lost their original fob and need a cost-effective fix.
The Todoxi Faraday Box & is designed specifically for the modern problem of keyless entry theft. Criminals use signal amplifiers to copy the frequency emitted by your car key fob while it sits inside your house, allowing them to unlock and drive away your vehicle. This product addresses that threat directly. Inside this box, you can store between five and eight car keys, including those attached to rings or house keys. This capacity makes it particularly useful for households with multiple vehicles or individuals who juggle several sets of keys daily.
In addition to the rigid box, the kit comes with two Faraday pouches distinguished by red and green stitching. This color-coding feature allows for quick visual identification of different key sets, which is a thoughtful design choice for busy users. The exterior features a leather surface that adds a layer of durability and an elegant appearance, making it suitable for keeping on a desk or in a glove compartment without looking like cheap plastic gear. The manufacturer specifies that this unit is a "medium" size, intended to be compact enough for travel yet spacious enough for practical daily use.
However, there are clear limitations you must consider before buying. If you are looking for a single case to hold both your phone and your keys, this will not work. Furthermore, while the box holds up to eight keys, the internal volume is fixed. This product is strictly for signal blocking and storage; it does not offer any electronic features, programming capabilities, or connectivity. It is a passive defense mechanism, relying entirely on the physical properties of the materials to block signals.
This product is ideal for anyone who sleeps with their keys nearby, travels frequently, or works in environments where security is paramount. Long-haul truckers, in particular, often park overnight in various locations and may leave keys accessible near the cab or in the sleeper berth. Having a dedicated, signal-blocking container ensures that even if a thief scans the area, they cannot capture the signal needed to steal the rig. It is also perfect for families managing multiple cars, as the included pouches help keep different key sets separate and protected. Conversely, if you only own one simple mechanical key or a non-electronic fob, you likely do not need this level of protection, and the cost might not be justified for such minimal risk.

The TuhrcIppwrs DIY Keyless Entry remote is a specialized replacement component designed for a very narrow range of vehicles. It is not a universal tool; it is built specifically to fit 2008 through 2016 Chrysler Town & Country models and 2008 through 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan models, including the VW Routan. If your vehicle falls outside this list, this product will not function, regardless of how much you pay for it. The device operates on a 433 MHz frequency and carries specific FCC IDs (M3N5WY783X and IYZ-C01C), which must match your vehicle's requirements exactly. It replaces part numbers like 05026591, 5026590, and 68079508, among others.
What sets this product apart is its "DIY" nature. Traditional dealerships often charge hundreds of dollars to replace a lost fob, requiring expensive equipment and labor hours. This TuhrcIppwrs unit allows you to bypass that process. The package includes the remote itself, a pre-installed battery, a large keyring, and a choice between interchangeable 5-button or 7-button keypads depending on your needs. Most importantly, it comes with an OBD II tool and detailed illustrated instructions. You simply insert the tool into your vehicle's diagnostic port and follow the steps to program the new remote. This process is designed to be straightforward enough for first-time users to handle without professional assistance.
However, the compatibility constraints are severe. The product note clearly states it is not compatible with push-button start vehicles. If your van has a smart key system where you press a button to start rather than inserting a traditional key blade, this remote will not work. Additionally, the success of the installation relies entirely on verifying that your vehicle matches the listed years and part numbers. If you purchase this unit without checking the FCC ID or chip details, you risk buying a useless piece of plastic. The remote is pre-tested and comes with batteries, ensuring immediate functionality once programmed, but it offers no value if the vehicle electronics are incompatible.
This product is the go-to solution for owners of the specified Dodge and Chrysler vans who have misplaced their original key fob or found it damaged. It is especially valuable for older models where dealer support might be scarce or prohibitively expensive. The inclusion of interchangeable keypads adds flexibility; if you prefer a simpler interface or need extra buttons for functions like panic alarms, you can swap the faceplate to suit your preference. It is not a general-purpose item for every driver. If you drive a Ford, Toyota, Honda, or any newer model with advanced immobilizers, this is not the right path. It is a targeted repair tool for a specific generation of American minivans.
• Best for signal protection: Choose Todoxi Faraday Box & if your primary concern is preventing thieves from copying your key signal while parked or sleeping.
• Best for vehicle restoration: Choose TuhrcIppwrs DIY Keyless Entry if you have lost your fob and need to regain access to a 2008–2019 Dodge Grand Caravan or Chrysler Town & Country.
• Best for multi-key households: The Todoxi box holds 5–8 keys, making it superior for families or fleets needing to secure multiple sets of remotes.
• Best for self-repair: The TuhrcIppwrs unit includes an OBD II tool, empowering you to program a new remote without paying for a mechanic.
• Best for long-haul trucking: For truckers carrying keys in the sleeper cab, the Todoxi Faraday Box provides essential protection against relay attacks in parking lots.
• Best for specific model owners: If you own a compatible Chrysler/Dodge van, the TuhrcIppwrs remote is the only logical choice to replace a lost fob.
• Best for versatility: The Todoxi set includes both a rigid box and flexible pouches, offering more storage options than the single remote unit.
• Best for push-button start owners: Neither product is ideal here, but the TuhrcIppwrs explicitly excludes push-button systems, while the Todoxi protects whatever keys you currently possess.
After reviewing the specifications and intended use cases for both items, I recommend the Todoxi Faraday Box & for the vast majority of drivers, especially those who spend significant time on the road. While the TuhrcIppwrs remote is a clever solution for a very specific group of van owners, it is too niche to be a general recommendation. Security is a universal concern, and the ability to protect your keys from modern relay theft techniques is a necessity rather than a luxury. The Todoxi kit’s capacity to hold multiple keys and its durable, leather-finished design make it a practical addition to any vehicle setup. In my opinion, preventing a theft is always more critical than replacing a lost key, making the Todoxi Faraday Box the smarter investment for long-haul trucking and everyday safety.
