In this unit, students will learn the Hiragana and Katakana. They will also learn commonly used Japanese vocabulary related to dates, time, money, and food.
In this unit, students will start learning Japanese verbs and practice describing their daily schedules in Japanese. They will need to read Japanese articles and write responses in Japanese.
From this unit onwards, students will learn the Japanese names of various everyday items and practice using different adjectives to describe these items. They will also learn how to describe objects that are nearby and far away, which will help them communicate more effectively with store clerks and shop when traveling in Japan.
In the final unit of the academic year, students will learn verb conjugations and frequency adverbs and understand how to express their likes and dislikes. They will apply the content learned in previous units to write a complete speech and record a video introducing their room to showcase their learning achievements.
