Hi, I’m Todd Koehler. I’m a Wauwatosa parent of two and a business leader with decades of experience in organizational leadership. I’ve spent years listening, showing up, and advocating for students and teachers. I’m running to bring steady leadership, fiscal responsibility, and a sharper focus on academic results. Thank you for your support.
Vote for Todd and the 2030 Slate on April 7.
ABOUT
A 14-year resident of Wauwatosa, Todd has two children attending school in the Wauwatosa School District. He has volunteered in the classroom and as a chaperone for his children’s school and on the district’s 2075 Task Force. More informally, he has attended many district listening sessions, community engagement opportunities, and school board meetings, often offering community feedback during public comments. When the district’s own report found the professional culture at McKinley Elementary “psychologically unsafe,” he was vocal in advocating for students and teachers to facilitate a leadership change.
Todd earned his bachelor's degree in Operations and Supply Chain Management and International Business from Marquette University. His decades-long career in organizational leadership has given him invaluable experience in budgeting and finance, human resources, change management, and problem solving, in addition to the soft skills of leadership. He has the professional background, coupled with his previous experience with the district, to join the board and hit the ground running.
As a candidate and prospective board member, Todd hopes to help guide the district down a path of greater fiscal responsibility, increased transparency, and academic excellence. Every student should be encouraged and empowered to reach their full potential.
In addition to his efforts to help improve the school district, Todd has also been involved in the Tosa community as a coach for the Tosa Kickers organization as well as the Tosa Baseball League.
