Dear Preschool Families,
Welcome to Today Counts Preschool! It has been such a joy to watch children grow, learn, and thrive in our program. I am truly grateful for the trust and support of our families, and it is an honor to be part of your child’s early education journey.
At Today Counts Preschool, I am committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where children learn through play, exploration, and hands-on activities. I believe children learn best when they are having fun, and I strive to nurture their natural curiosity and creativity each day.
My mission is to inspire a lifelong love of learning in every child. I value each child’s unique needs and learning style, and I tailor our experiences to meet children where they are while supporting their growth and development. I also believe in the importance of strong partnerships between parents and teachers, built through open communication and collaboration.
Enrollment is now open, and I look forward to welcoming new and returning families to our preschool community. If you have any questions or would like to learn more, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Making today count, ❤️🌈🖤
Stacey Piskorski
My name is Mrs. Stacey Piskorski. I was born and raised in Seward, where I attended all three Seward Public Schools. I graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan in 1998 with a degree in Elementary Education. After completing my bachelor's degree, I continued my education, earning my master's in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane University in 2002.
I began my teaching career in 1998 at Seward Elementary, where I spent 25 wonderful years. I taught third grade for one year, second grade for six years, and then found my true passion teaching kindergarten.
In 2022, I took a leap of faith and opened Today Counts Preschool, an in-home preschool where I can continue pursuing my love for teaching young children in a smaller, more personalized setting. Creating an engaging and nurturing environment has always been my priority, and I’m excited to continue fostering a love of learning in this new chapter.
MY FAMILY
I live in Seward with my husband, Pat, who is a science teacher at Seward High School. Our daughter, Kenna, teaches first grade in Crete, and our son, Bryce, is pursuing his accounting degree at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL). Even though our kids are grown, family time is still very important to us—we love spending time at the lake, traveling, or just laughing and sharing stories together.
I truly believe that a child learns best when families and teachers work together. I can’t wait to get to know your family, celebrate your child’s milestones, and create a warm, caring, and joyful environment where every child can grow, explore, and feel loved.
