I am Associate Professor in Political Science and leader of the Junior Research Group “Socioeconomic Developments and Social Policy Reforms: The Moderating Role of Political Institutions” at the Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU). Prior to joining JKU, I held postdoctoral appointments at the Hertie School of Governance, the Johannes Kepler University Linz and at the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES). I was also visiting scholar at the University of Southampton, the Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS) Vienna and the University of Warwick. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Mannheim.

My research areas include comparative welfare state analysis, comparative political economy, pensions, family policy, and occupational welfare.
