Since 2022, I’ve been regularly travelling to Port Moresby to teach postgraduate economics courses at the University of Papua New Guinea, through the ANU-UPNG Partnership, a program supported by DFAT. In 2023, I spent six months living in the city to deliver two courses in person: Quantitative Research Methods and Applied Cost-Benefit Analysis. In 2024, I’ve continued this work, spending three months on the ground.
On this page, I’ll share some reflections, experiences, and photos from my time in PNG—a country full of vibrant people, striking landscapes, and rich cultural diversity.
