We are the first Native Youth Council of the City of Tucson. We are an official youth council of the United National Indian Tribal Youth (UNITY) organization. TNYC consists of members from the following Southwestern tribes: Tohono O'odham, Hia-Ced O'odham, Yaqui, Navajo, and Mescalero Apache. All members of TNYC are residents of the City of Tucson and range between the ages of 14-20. Overarching goals of the Tucson Native Youth Council (TNYC) are to: Address local and national issues related to Native Americans and Indigenous peoples of the world. Develop leadership and professional skills of our youth members through hands-on experiences through volunteerism and internships.
