UPHOPE

UPHOPE High School Mentorship Program

THE MISSION of the Underrepresented/Undergraduate Pre-Health Outreach Program for Education at UC San Diego (UPHOPE) is to encourage and empower underrepresented and/or first-generation high school students interested in health professions through mentorship with students from UC San Diego.

We hope to establish a lasting partnership with students and educators to increase diversity and access to higher education and the healthcare field.

This program was founded and launched in 2019 by Kevin Nguyen (MS '19, DO '24) and Lauren Hui (BS '20, TNT President '18-20) with Student Promoted Access Center for Education and Service (SPACES) at UCSD.

We are currently partnered with Morse High School in Skyline, CA and hope to expand in the future to more high schools in the San Diego area!

Want to become a mentor? Applications are now closed, but we will be recruiting soon for the 2020-2021 cycle!
