Tom, Sam and Asha are volunteers with the Katherine Savanna Glider Project - see their Facebook Page and their Landcare NT webpage.
You can listen to the sound gliders make here (courtesy, Wildcare Inc. NT) and for more information about how to build nest boxes, have a lot at this.
Sam talked about land clearing in the NT, which sometimes divides Territorians according to their sympathies for conservation vs economic development. You can read about it in this article in the Conversation and find NT Government information about land clearing here. As Sam mentioned, up to 5000 ha of native vegetation (including riparian ares) can be cleared without needing referral to the Northern Territory Environment Protection Authority for assessment. This was increased from 200 ha in 2019.
Tom mentioned the "Lee Point Bioblitz" - he actually meant the "Friends of Casuarina Coastal Reserve's BioBlitz".
You can here Jill Nganjmirra talking about gliders (lambalk) in her own language here. Her various roles and responsibilities include chairperson of the Bininj Kunwok Regional Language and Culture Centre.
