Your knowledge on the topics will be tested with  three 30 min in-class quizzes:

Assignments

  • Swedish or English is fine

  • Submissions via email (contact examinar in case you need an extention, late submissions without notice are not accepted!)

Homeworks (please submit the summaries and the presentations by email)  

  • HW1, due week 5. Browse the latest SESAR solutions catalogue. Study one solution from each area. Write a short summary of  the studied solutoins (please include links to the solutions) and prepare a short presentation (5-15min) on them.

  • HW2, due week 6. Read the European ATM Masterplan 2025. Then a browse the latest TrV's research and innovation plan. Read the section on air traffic. What is missing from the plan, in your opinion? Include your answer into the presentaiton of HW1,2.

  • HW3, due week 7. Choose a paper from one of the latest ATM conferences: ATMSeminar, ICRAT and SID (SID is every year; ATMSeminar and ICRAT alternate until 2025-- the former is in odd years, the latter is in even years, then after 2025 they were united to ATRD Symposium). 

Explain what was studied, what the results are, etc. (1-2pages; please include link to the paper and slide from the authors, if available). To which SESAR solution does the study link? Prepare a short presentation (5-15min) on the paper

  • HW4, due week 8. Formulate an optimization problem (details, example). Presentation and short paper (1-3 pages).

Final project 

Choose a finished project funded by TrV (in luftfartsområdet.). Please,  include a link to the project report or attach the report to your submission. 

  • Explain what was studied, what the results are, etc.  See a more detailed instructions.

  • Length 1-4 pages.

  • Prepare a short presentation (5-15min) on the project.

Grading

  • Each HW is graded U or G. You must have 3 G's on the HWs to get 1.5hp for the HWs,

  • Project is 4.5hp.  Final grade = Quizz grades (25 points each ) + final project grade (25 points)

Notes

  • Most lectures were recorded during 2021 class (taught by ‪Dr. Eulalia Hernández), therefore you may hear references to chat, times, etc. (please report to the lecturer if certain places are too annoying and should better be cut out)

  • The website and some of the linked files may have changed slightly since some videos were recorded, but the content is essentially the same
