I am INCREDIBLY late starting this months update! The 18th of the month!!!!!!! It has been very busy - work has been winding down. We break up from school on 22nd July and then I have absolutely nothing to do - well, I do have an Afternoon Tea to get through, with the help of Leonie and Charlotte, for my 50th birthday.
On Saturday 5th July, I went to Cancer In Common at Eastcheap Records in London. I had quite a few cocktails, got a little emotional, and had to have help getting home...always a sign of a good afternoon. 😀
I also now have my glasses and prescription sunglasses - it's only taken two months. I need to keep a check on my right eye - the optician thinks I may have a cataract forming brought on by chemo. That will be a joy. Currently, my prescription is as follows: -6.50 in the left eye and -8.00 in the right!
Charlotte, Leonie and myself have really cracked on with the planning for the Breast Cancer Now Afternoon Tea we're having on my 50th birthday. So many people have been really generous with their donations of raffle prizes - we have some great things. I'm hoping the day will be really busy.
We also have a little cat living at the end of the garden. I have a funny feeling that we are going to end up taking the poor little thing in - she is very cute.

...and finally, we have broken up for the summer break. That's it - my team as I know it is no more. It is very sad; incredibly hard to deal with; trauma associations galore; lots of emotions running high; but it's over. Most of us are TUPEing to a new employer but three of the team are not. It's hard to express how challenging this is because if you have read the main pages on this document, you will know what the team mean to me and how much they supported me during my treatment. However, September is a change and something I am beginning to be a little excited about - it's been 7 months in the making. I look forward to receiving my P45 at the end of August. 😀
