I'm a bit late updating the start of December. It's been a very busy week and I'm snatching 10 minutes.
As usual, I shared my 'feel them on the first' reel on Instagram. Here it is: Feel them on the first (December)
I've also just had a meeting with the Breast Cancer Now Voices leads. There were only a couple of us on the call but it was great being able to speak with each other.
I've had such a busy week this week - it started by spending Sunday afternoon and evening in A and E with Andy as he has fractured a vertebra (broken his back). He is ok but very stiff. I haven't really caught up this week either.
Also, the steroids I am using to clear my chronic sinusitis are making me feel yuck.

To be honest, I'm quite glad that week is over. : ) It has been so busy. The sinus issue continues - not sure whether it was/has been a cold or just some sort of reaction to the drops - it's not pleasant anyway!
On Friday, my team and I had our Christmas meal. We went to RadBurger then tried to complete an escape room. I say tried because my team didn't escape or save Canterbury. We didn't really know what was going on and required help at every stage.
On Sunday, the lovely Jo (tit_less_wonder) hosted the Cancer In Common Kent Style event at 20th Century Speedway in Folkestone. That was brilliant. Scarlett, who I mentioned in the Support chapter of this 'blog' came along. It was amazing to be able to spend some time with her - as I've already stated, I'll be forever grateful to her for being at the end of a What's App message throughout my treatment.
We had great fun - super music, fabulous company and a great raffle. I made a reel on Instagram: Cancer In Common. Jo also shared a reel - here is the link.
I'm hoping for a slightly quieter week this week. I'll keep you posted.

I needed to spend most of the day in Canterbury today. Firstly, I had an interview with somebody at the university. This was about loneliness during cancer. It was very interesting to do. I've offered to be part of any patient group that may come out of it.
Next, I saw the lovely Nessy. It was great to have a catch up. I told her about some of the things I've been doing and also some of the more mundane life stuff. She talked about a patient group - something was available before COVID - and I said that if they wanted someone to help, I'm more than happy to do so.
Finally, I had my Zometa (zoledronic acid). I'd had to get antibiotics for the sinusitis last week but thankfully, it didn't affect my bloods. This was number six of nine. Only 18 months left to go!

Last night, Breast Cancer Now reshared my Voices story with a small update. A link can be found to the Facebook page here: www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=1020456603458361&set=a.368206312016730 and a link to the Instagram page is here: www.instagram.com/p/DD7pZ-5ROw6/
Lastly, I've had to get more antibiotics as the sinusitis is back! This is really getting on my nerves now and I'm really hoping that this time it will clear. I cannot believe that I have chronic sinusitis and also acute sinusitis. Meh!
