It's the summer holidays PROPER. It is so nice to be able to relax and not think about work at all. I will, of course, do some work at some point but not just yet.
I did a little more green lane practice with Andy yesterday - this time, up a proper green lane!

It's nearing the end of the summer break - just one week left to go. I haven't really been doing much with the exception of last Thursday. I went to the North Middlesex Hospital in London for a Breast Cancer Now photoshoot. I was invited along as a Service Pledge patient advocate volunteer. It was just myself, two health care professionals, and two members of staff from the charity. It was a good fun. It was a different day out. If I have any photos, I'll share them.
I have also seen Mr C about a little mark on my scar. I had an ultrasound - it was nothing. Phew!
There was also a solar eclipse during the evening of 12th August; there was 90% coverage. I went to the cricket ground in Lydd to take some photos with my DSLR and special lens (which I made - I also made my own eclipse glasses - Baader paper). I had a few people join me which was lovely.
Tomorrow, I will be going over to the Kent and Canterbury Hospital for a blood test for my final Zometa on Friday - the last of my cancer-related treatment. I can't believe we're actually there - the end of treatment. There was a time when I didn't think we'd ever get here but we have. I'm not sure how I feel about it - excited, anxious, possibly abandoned. It's an odd feeling.
