About me
I am a geology student from Bangladesh and always focused on Fluvial Sedimentology along with Petrology, Mineralogy and Geochemistry. As a geoscience fellow, the mighty Padma (Ganges) river that runs alongside my city has always been a source of inspiration and information. In my further exploration of geology, this led me to the fundamentals of petrology, mineralogy, geochemistry, and fluvial sedimentology. I chose to major in geology in my PhD program from fall 2025 at the Department of Geology & Geophysics because of this curiosity. Within this versatile field, I delved into a myriad of subjects, consistently exploring the depths of knowledge, as is my habitual approach. Moreover, hailing from the largest delta region on Earth, I have always been driven by a desire to make a positive impact on research for sediment transportation, formation, and genesis of placer deposits. That is why I will be analyzing the streambed sample of gold placer through my whole PhD journey to set a placer database.
