The Tamborine Mountain State School (TMSS) Markets have been proudly run as a
not-for-profit initiative by the TMSS P&C since 1995. In 2025, we are excited to
celebrate 30 years of supporting our school and community!
The TMSS P&C is a vibrant and dedicated organisation that has spent three
decades creating a thriving platform for local growers, suppliers, families, and artists
to showcase their talents and products. The markets attract visitors from across
Southeast Queensland, boosting the local economy while fostering a strong sense of
pride and connection for Tamborine Mountain. TMSS students and families are an
integral part of the markets, regularly volunteering, hosting stalls, or simply enjoying
the community atmosphere.
Since January 2020, the markets have welcomed over 98,000 visitors, making it a
well-loved and reliable event. With up to 130 stallholders, visitors can explore an
incredible variety of goods, including fresh produce, artisanal foods, clothing, crafts,
plants, homewares, vintage treasures, and more. Many of the stallholders are from
the Scenic Rim region, with many products locally sourced or handmade,
highlighting the area’s creativity and richness. The markets also draw tourists to the
mountain, supporting local cafes, restaurants, shops, and accommodation providers.
Over the years, the markets have made a significant financial impact on Tamborine
Mountain State School. Since 2020 alone, more than $140,000 has been donated to
the school, funding vital resources, materials, and major projects like our Literacy
Program, an adventure playground and nature play area.
As we celebrate 30 years in 2025, the TMSS P&C is immensely proud of the positive
impact the markets have had on the local community. Through three decades of
support for local businesses and fostering community engagement, the TMSS
Markets remain a cherished tradition and an enduring symbol of Tamborine
Mountain’s creativity, diversity, and community spirit.
