TempoDeck: Offline Music ("TempoDeck," "we," "our," or "us") provides local audio playback and music-library features for Android devices. This Privacy Policy explains how information may be accessed, processed, used, or shared when you use the application (the "App").
I. Scope
This Policy applies to TempoDeck's local audio import, library browsing, playlist, playback, background playback, lock screen control, support, and related operational features. Third-party services may apply their own privacy policies to information they process.
II. Local Audio and On-Device Activity
TempoDeck may access audio files that you select or permit the App to read so it can display and play your local music. Audio content, playlists, playback position, and preferences may be processed or stored on your device to provide the features you request. Core local playback does not require TempoDeck to upload your audio files to our servers.
III. Information That May Be Processed
Depending on the release build and the services integrated into it, the following information may be processed:
- Local audio information, such as file name, path, duration, album, artist, and embedded media metadata made available by the device.
- Playlist entries, recent playback position, playback state, and App preferences stored for user-requested functions.
- Device and technical information, such as device model, Android version, App version, language, network state, crash details, diagnostic events, IP address, advertising identifiers, and service interaction data.
- Messages and contact information that you voluntarily provide when requesting support.
We do not use the contents of your local songs to create an online music catalog or offer third-party music downloads.
IV. Purposes of Processing
Information may be used to provide local playback, import accessible audio, organize the library, remember playback choices, maintain App stability, diagnose errors, measure feature performance, prevent abuse, display advertising where included, comply with law, and respond to support requests.
V. Permissions and User Choice
TempoDeck may request media or file access supported by your Android version when that access is needed to locate or import local audio. You can deny or revoke permissions in system settings, although related import, browsing, or playback functions may then be unavailable.
VI. Third-Party Services
The App may use the following third-party services. These providers may process information under their own privacy policies:
- Google Play services and Google AdMob:

The App's Google Play Data safety disclosure must reflect the SDKs and data practices present in the published release.
VII. Sharing and Disclosure
We may share limited information with service providers that operate analytics, diagnostics, advertising, or support functions on our behalf; when required to comply with law or valid legal process; to protect users, our rights, or the integrity of the App; or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable safeguards. We do not sell or license your local audio files as music content.
VIII. Retention and Deletion
Local playlists, playback information, and preferences may remain on your device until you remove them, clear App data, or uninstall the App. Support correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request and meet legal obligations. Third-party providers apply their own retention practices. Where applicable, you may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information controlled by us.
IX. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information under our control. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure, so users should also protect their devices and accounts.
X. Children's Privacy
TempoDeck is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where required by local law. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so the matter can be reviewed.
XI. International Processing
Third-party providers may process information in countries other than the one in which you live. Where required, appropriate legal safeguards should apply to such transfers.
XII. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy when the App, legal requirements, or data practices change. The effective date above will be revised when an updated version is published.
