Task Manager · Effective September 30, 2026
This policy explains what information the Task Manager app ("the app", "we") handles and why. In short: your tasks stay on your device and in your own Google Drive. We don't run servers that store your tasks, and we don't show ads, track you, or sell data.
1. Information stored on your device
Your tasks, subtasks, notes, tags, due dates, settings (theme, colors) and streaks are stored only on your device. We do not receive or have access to this information.
2. Google Sign-In and Google Drive backup (optional)
If you choose to turn on backup, you sign in with your Google account. The app then requests:
Your name and email address, used to show which Google account your backup is linked to, and to link your purchases to that account so they can be restored on your other devices (see section 3).
Access to the app's own hidden folder in your Google Drive (the drive.appdata permission). The app uses it only to save and restore one backup file of your tasks and settings. It cannot see, open, or change any other files in your Drive.
The backup travels directly between your device and Google. We never receive it, and it is stored under your Google account, subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Task Manager's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide the backup feature. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never transferred to others except as needed to provide that feature or as required by law.
3. Purchases
Premium and the animal packs are one-time purchases handled by Google Play. We never see your payment details. To confirm and restore purchases, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase-management service that works on our behalf. RevenueCat receives:
An app user ID. If you are not signed in, it is random. If you are signed in with Google, it is made from a one-way code of your email address, so the same purchases are found on any device signed in to the same account.
If you are signed in with Google: your email address and name, so your purchases can be restored on your other devices and so we can help you if you contact us about a purchase.
Your purchase record (product, date, transaction ID) and basic device and app information such as OS version and app version.
RevenueCat never receives your tasks. It does not use this information for advertising, and we never sell it. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
4. Notifications and the home-screen widget
Due-date reminders are scheduled locally on your device. The home-screen widget reads your tasks from the app's storage on your device. Neither sends data anywhere.
5. What we don't do
No advertising and no ad networks.
No analytics or tracking SDKs.
No selling or sharing of personal information.
No access to your contacts, location, camera, or microphone.
6. Deleting your data
On your device: use "Clear all" in the app, or uninstall the app.
Your Google Drive backup: in Google Drive on the web, open Settings → Manage apps, find Task Manager, and choose Delete hidden app data.
Revoke Google access: visit myaccount.google.com/permissions and remove Task Manager, or tap "Sign out" in the app's settings.
Purchase records: contact us (below) and we'll ask RevenueCat to delete the record linked to your purchases (including your email and name, if you were signed in).
7. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
