Technitium MAC Address Changer allows you to change (spoof) Media Access Control (MAC) Address of your Network Interface Card (NIC) instantly. It has a very simple user interface and provides ample information regarding each NIC in the machine. Every NIC has a MAC address hard coded in its circuit by the manufacturer. This software just writes a value into the windows registry. As a long time rhino user on windows and on Mac (love them both, but menus are taking up more and more real estate I feel than necessary). The Mac version has come a long way and I like working in both environments now that layouts on Mac is actually useful

I use both mac and pc, mac when teaching, windows when I need to get work done. Both have their strong points, but I could live without the Mac version, not the other way around. But the Mac version is more pleasing to the eye, has crisper icons (though in v8 the win icons look great too)

You need to figure out whether the software you are currently depend on will run on the new platform and if yes would it be crippled in any way? Personally, I have windows, macs and linux experience, and from a software development point of view linux gives the best experience, because almost everything is pre-packaged and easy to install. I've used other keyboards, and the windows key will always re-map to cmd on mac. However, on my new keyboard, this isn't the case. The windows key doesn't seem to do or change anything. The alt key also doesn't seem to get mapped to anything initially.

I went into the "Modifier Keys" panel, and selected my keyboard on the list. Changing command to map to the ctrl key does remap cmd from mac to ctrl on my windows keyboard. Changing the mac ctrl to map to whatever the default "cmd" key is (in this case, should be the windows symbol key), does not work.

I've tried using karabiner to remap keys, but can't seem to figure it out. I looked on the XML key list, but can't figure out how to remap the windows key to the mac ctrl, and the command key to the windows ctrl. How would I go about fixing this?

Turns out that on this keyboard, doing fn + f12 actually disables the windows key. This was turned on by default. This is why nothing was working when I would press the windows key. I pressed fn + f12 again and now everything works :| weeks of frustration all due to me not looking at my keyboard layout :(

Hello, If this has been brought up already I apologize! New to the CNC world, ordered and elite Forman and my questions is am I better off buying a PC with windows to run Vcarve Pro or just use my current MacBook Pro with parallels to run it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. 006ab0faaa
