What is happening?
A. Toastmasters International is combining districts to make larger, healthier districts. District 30 and District 103 are becoming the new, transitioned District 30. District 8 will be combined with parts of Districts 19 and 54 to become District 211. District 35 will be combined with the other parts of District 19 and 54 to become District 212.
The District Council meetings for the districts you are transitioning to will all be via Zoom and will last on the order of 2 hours. Zoom information will be sent approximately 2 weeks before your respective transitioned District Council meeting.
How can I find out where my club is moving?
A. See the Club Lookup section, below
Why is this important?
A. District Council members need to vote on the division and area alignments of the new districts and Distric Council members need to vote for their District Leaders for the 2026-2027 Toastmasters year in their respective transitioned districts.
Will my 2025-2026 district have a conference and a Dstrict Council meeting?
A. Yes, and it is separate from these transitioned District Council meetings.
Are the transitioned District Council meetings going to be in-person?
A. Not this year. The transition District Council spring meeting will be virtual only
Who are the District Council members?
A. Club Presidents, Club Vice Presidents Education, and DEC members are District Council members
How do I know which transition District Council meeting to attend?
A. If your club is moving to D30 (per the Club Lookup, below), attend the D30 District Council meeting. If your club is moving to D210, D211 or D212, attend that transition District Council meeting. 3 clubs from D19 are moving to D210.
What if I am a District Executive Council (DEC) member? In addition to your 2025-2026 District's Council meeting:
A. D8 DEC members should attend the D211 District Council meeting.
D19 DEC should attend the D211 or D212 Council, you can choose (choose on your credentials registration).
D30 DEC members should attend the transitioned D30 District Council meeting.
D35 DEC members should attend the D212 District Council meeting.
D54 DEC should attend the D211 or D212 Council, you can choose (choose on your credentials registration).
D103 DEC members should attend the transitioned D30 District Council meeting.
NOTE: You can cast your single DEC vote at your 2025-2026 District's Council meeting and at only one of the 2026-2027 District Council meetings. For example a D8 DEC member can cast their DEC vote to approve the audit report at their D8 District Council meeting and can cast their DEC vote at the D211 District Council meeting.
How many ballots do I get?
A. Each club has 2 votes. A Club President or VP Education can each carry 1 vote, or either officer can carry both votes. A DEC member also gets a vote. If a Toastmaster is a DEC member, they can carry a maximum of 3 votes depending on their status as Club President, VP Education, and whether or not the other District Council member from their club is carrying any votes, presumably by mutual agreement.
I am a club President or VPE and I can't make the Zoom call. Can I proxy my vote?
A. You cannot proxy your vote, however, as noted in FAQ #9, the President or VPE may carry both votes for their club without following any special procedures. Please make sure you that have coordinated with each other on attendance and voting.
Can non-District Council members attend one of the new District Council meetings?
A. Yes, but do not use the registration process. Links will be posted on this web page for viewing the District Council meetings via livestreaming. Those links will be published within a week of the District Council meeting.
I am not comfortable with the new district boundaries, what can I do about it?
A. Please refer to this document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1VPnrR22Eu2DqSELQtYI0pjdUKCFGTT29Qr1trTmIxm0/edit?usp=sharing
