Photos and AI-Based Toy Identification
When you use ToyScanner's scan feature, the Application collects the photo you take with your camera or select from your photo library. This photo is sent to a third-party AI image-analysis service, which processes the photo to identify the toy shown (including details such as brand, product line, and estimated condition) and to generate an estimated resale value based on comparable marketplace listings.
Photos are only sent to this third-party AI service when you actively choose to scan an item, and only after you have provided explicit consent within the Application. You may decline this data sharing at any time via the in-app consent notice, which will prevent the scan feature from being used.
The photo is used solely to generate your scan result. It is not used by the Company or the third-party AI service to train AI models, and it is not sold or shared with any party other than the AI service provider necessary to perform the identification and pricing analysis.
