Teaching Philosophy
My philosophy is that arts education is not a luxury—it is an essential part of a well-rounded education. I discovered my passion for teaching through the opportunities theater provided me, and it is that same sense of possibility and empowerment that I strive to bring into my classroom. My goal is to create a learning environment where students genuinely enjoy coming to school and feel excited to explore their creative potential.
My teaching style centers on student-focused learning, ensuring that each learner engages with material in ways that align with their strengths and collective learning needs. I encourage collaboration to help students build strong teamwork and communication skills, essential both onstage and beyond. Through workshops, projects, and analytical explorations, students will deepen their understanding of both historical and contemporary theater.
Above all, I hope to cultivate not only skilled collaborators, but confident, thoughtful individuals. I am committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive space where students feel comfortable taking risks, expressing themselves authentically, and embracing new perspectives.
