THE LEARNING LOOP (TLL) | CLUB BULLETIN

The Plain Truth: We’re here to give you the sandbox, the community, and the data. You bring the clubs, figure out what’s working, and play your game.

1. The Three Legs of the Stool

We run on three tools. Not one of them is more important than the other, but none of them work alone:

 WGT (The Course): Handles the game engine, shot physics, graphics, and tournament hosting. It has its quirks, but they’re always improving it. It handles the heavy lifting.

 Discord (The 19th Hole): The clubhouse. This is where we hang out, talk shop, coordinate tee times, and trade jabs between rounds.

 The Website (The Brain): Ties everything together, houses the guides, tracks the events, and gives the whole project its heartbeat.

2. The 4 Guides & The Different Server Path

Every golfer has a different temperament on any given day. We’ve set up four guides assigned to different sections of the website:

 The Bear: Patient, observant, and calculates the odds—just waiting for the right moment to strike.

 The Bull: Aggressive, takes the direct line, and attacks pins.

 The 2 Humans: The wildcards. Humans can act like an owl sitting back quietly one hole, and turn into an aggressive bear the next. They keep things grounded and realistic.

You don’t have to pick just one. Jump across all of them whenever your mood or your game shifts.

3. The Main Events: Goat Race & Double Elimination

We don't do endless, grinding stroke-play tournaments that feel like a chore. We run two distinct headline formats designed for quick matches, high drama, and low stress:

 🐐 The Goat Race  (Sept 7 – Sept 21): Fast, Chaotic, Addictive

 What it is: A race against the field where every hole counts. You aren't grinding through a slow 18-hole slog; it’s rapid-fire match play focused on momentum.

 Why you'll love it: One hot streak puts you in the driver’s seat. It levels the playing field and gives everyone a puncher’s chance at taking the crown.

 🥊 Double Elimination (Oct 7 – Oct 21 approx.): The Ultimate Safety Net`

 What it is: Pure competition with a built-in second life. One bad bounce, plugged lie, or rogue three-putt doesn't end your tournament.

 Why you'll love it: Fall into the contenders' bracket, catch fire, and run the table from the bottom up. True match-play grit where you only need to beat the guy in front of you.

 🛑 Tournament Focus (The 18-Hole Blackout Rule):

 While the Goat Race or Double Elimination is active, standard 18-hole club tournaments will NOT run.

 Why? We want the whole club locked into the main action so matches get played fast and nobody gets split across five different leaderboards.

 ⏳ Zero Pressure, Play When You Can Life, jobs, and families come first. You coordinate your match windows with your opponent when it fits your schedule. If you get busy and miss a rotation—zero judgment.

4. Zero-Judgment Data & The Feedback Form

If you actually want to see where your game is trending without someone barking swing advice at you:

 The Super-Short Form: We built a quick feedback form—it’s so simple it almost feels stupid, but it works.

 Pure Data, No Lectures: We take your raw stats and form responses, package them up, and hand the data straight back to you. We don't judge, grade, or lecture.

 Custom Tracking: If you want to focus on something specific (like lag putting, fairway accuracy, or wedge gapping), tell us. We’ll adjust the

 data we track to fit what you’re working on.
