I have been incorporating more activities in my curriculum that challenge my students to go beyond the content and utilize their critical thinking skills to make connections within the content.
I developed and utilized an escape room to use in the classroom with which students can get more practice with the traditional multiple choice test questions in a more engaging collaborative environment.
Utilizing knowledge from professional developments and research on current pedagogy, I incorporated a modeling lesson in my classroom to help my AP Biology students develop a better grasp of the processes in cellular respiration. Students developed their own models within their groups and recorded a flipgrid in which they animated their moving models.
The purpose of the program was to increase educators content knowledge and empower them in implementing project-based engineering activities on water sustainability in their classrooms.
