tati 🕯🇵🇷🇨🇴 shared a post on Instagram: "Friends, family, acquaintances, and strangers! With much humility, gratitude, and nervousness, I am excited to invite you all to the Community Storytellers Premiere at 8:15 PM at the Gene Siskel Film Center. My debut short film, De la morera (2022) directed by the immensely talented @lnhtrnn, will be screened alongside two incredible shorts Between the Silence (2022) dir. @linares_riera and La Salida (2022) dir. @charlenecarruthers.
The program will begin with a screening of all three films, followed by a roughly 30-minute Q&A ,and wrapping with an hour-long reception at the Siskel reception space. Buy tickets online at https://www.siskelfilmcenter.org/community-storytellers. Link in my bio.
The film logline is as follows:
Guided by their ancestors, two friends go on a magical adventure through Humboldt Park to replace a spiritual offering they knocked over at a lively family barbecue.
The amount of support and well wishes I received writing and producing this film has been overwhelming. I am so proud to share this story full of love and family with you all, and I’m so thankful to my hardworking collaborators, especially KC Diaz, for their wisdom. Thank you to our beautiful cast Angela Townsend @lalaamorena, Tsage Roberts @thatblackfamilyabroad, and Dawn Richards. Thank you Humboldt Park @humboldtpark, thank you Illinois Union of the Homeless @ilunionofthehomeless, thank you @fullspectrumfeatures.
Stay tuned for more updates about future screenings and accessibility.
With endless gratitude,
-Tati Lee". Follow their account to see 39 posts.www.instagram.com/p/Cj6ZnRxLd_q/Google Sites
