Participants will first review a variety of examples gathered from Seneca faculty, who have unique understandings and perspectives about sustainability. We will then generate some sustainability integration ideas using a sample curriculum. Participants will also be invited to share their ideas with colleagues through discussion and collaboration.

As our world is confronted with sustainability challenges at an unprecedented scale and climate change is happening much faster than scientists have predicted, we need everyone including our students to get involved in tackling the complex, “glocal” problems. How do we effectively infuse sustainability leadership development in the curriculum? In this workshop, the presenter Wai Chu Cheng will start with introducing a theoretical model of the New Leader developed by Stanford University. She will then share three effective ways that you can apply this model and incorporate hands-on learning experience while turning your students into future sustainability leaders.
