Hello! I use Tlauncher (I know, cracked) and I thought I would switch to SK Launcher. I tried using Oracle Java and Librica but it wouldnt open! So I thought of deleting Java using the console! (I am on latest Mac Big Sur) And it still didnt work, so I installed java again from oracle (Both Java 8 and Java 16) But tlauncher and SK Launcher both dont open! I get an error! I saw a tutorial where this dude's SK Launcher was not working and he deleted Java 8 From his Windows PC and it started working, so I thought to try it too. Failed! Hi guys, so before I installed T-Launcher, I already have JDK 16, so I felt that I have no need to install JRE since JDK already includes it. However, while installing TLauncher, there was a warning saying that I dont have java installed? (I already installed JDK which supposedly should include JRE). I thought it was just a false warning, and I decided to not install JRE 8 since it might mess with my JDK installation. Low and behold, after installing TLauncher, the launcher wont launch saying that I don't have java installed. I checked the PATH and JAVA_HOME variables and they correctly point to my JDK folder. I did some research online and found answers telling me to go to the settings of TLauncher and point it to the java install location, but how am I supposed to do this if I cannot even open TLauncher.

I have tried java 16 on 1.16.5 but it doesn't work.... With java 8 or java 11 1.16.5 works fine.... Now for the latest snapshot 21w20a, it requires java 16 but even if I do everything (install java 16, Change Java path etc) but still Mothing works the game doesn't opens. What is the fix for that ? Also can anyone tell me how to use Multimc for pc without using an official Minecraft account on MultiMC

My particular issue was caused because I was working with directories that involved symbolic links (shortcuts). Consequently, trying java -jar ../../myJar.jar didn't work because I wasn't where I thought I was.

Hey Reddit, I wanted to know if updating my java from 8 to 16 (for 1.17 as announced in 21w19a) would also allow to play in older versions like 1.16,1.12 and 1.8 etc. on TLauncher. If the Tlauncher Devs answer this I would be greatly satisfied.

I have tried running the game from the technic launcher instead, passing the proxy parameters as java args, but this has no apparent effect. I have also tried using the Java Control Panel to set a proxy for the JRE, but this has no noticeable effect.
