I just started it when I saw people have so many OCs in their universe and got that "Why can't I have one?". Plus, I created a logosona called Tanko, which was how I started the project.
No, our 3D models aren't open domains, and can't be owned. However, you can recreate them with your style as fan art and credit me.
For 2D art, I used Adobe Illustrator, the most popular vector graphic software.
For 3D arts, I used Cinema 4D before I switched to Blender.
Both are 3D modeling software, but the only differences are the price, interface, and functions:
Blender is free to download and used by most indie animators and artists, with plugins, two render engines, and easy-to-use character rigging tools.
Cinema 4D is easy to learn and use for designing motion graphics but expensive.
After I did the 3D render, I used Adobe Photoshop for post-productions and adding a watermark.
I used Sony Vegas for video editing, then switched to DaVinci Resolve.
I had some reasons forcing me to switch to Blender:
Under the pressure of people.
It is hard to rig a character, Cinema 4D's rigging tool is too hard to use.
Optimization, because I had once put a 3D model into Roblox Studio, and it wasn't what I expected, the character was too big for it.
I never did any commissions because it's hard to decide to choose to do or not. Plus, I never have any credit cards, a virtual wallet, and a commission site.
Our OCs will used for any projects, such as Snowby Stories, an indie video game project by Snowby3D.
I don't know if they can be marketable in the future.
However, I had a school animation project that used my OCs, check it out: https://youtu.be/WNshfd7gIHE?si=6hTxH_UNITrD5uc2
