This meeting will address recent progress in the representation theory of reductive Lie groups as well as its connections with analysis and geometry of homogeneous spaces. It will be an occasion to celebrate the 60th birthday of Professor Toshiyuki Kobayashi and to review how his pioneering works have led to the current development of mathematics, and to indicate fruitful research directions for the future.
