The Temasek Junior College Symphonic Band (TJCSB) was established in 1977, and subsequently formed the Temasek Junior College Alumni Band (TJCAB) in 1995 with the dedicated support of its conductor, Mr Alex Lin, who has been with the band since 1981.

It is made up of passionate musicians who continue to pursue their love of music-making and provide unwavering support to the main band. TJCAB meets and performs annually at concerts and competitions, and many notable alumni have gone on to pursue music and contribute to the growing local arts scene.

At the inaugural National Band Competition in 2006, the band clinched the Top Band award in the Open Division and was also awarded the Gold award in the 1st Division category of the 3rd Singapore International Band Festival (SIBF) in 2012. The band also clinched the 3rd position at the Singapore International Band Festival in 2014.

TJCAB will strive to carry on the TJC band tradition by providing opportunities for graduating students to pursue their lifelong passion for music
