Teacher In The Workplace

Thanks to funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the three Crawford County School Districts have partnered together to offer Teacher in the Workplace opportunities this summer. The districts collaborated and received grant funds to support the program. We are thrilled to be able to offer a two-day Tech Skills in the Workplace Conference and the traditional week long Teacher in the Workplace experience this summer. The Tech Skills Conference will feature two days of presentations on technology in the workforce and a special guest and author (Tom Murray) as our Keynote speaker. During the week long Teacher in the Workplace activity, our teachers will be paired with local business/industry partners in a variety of career strands (agriculture, manufacturing, service, local government, banking, travel/tourism, etc…). Educators will work with industry and business partners to develop lessons that integrate the PA Career and Education Work Standards. During their time in the industry, they will experience first-hand what our students need to be prepared for to enter the workforce.
