I have a tivo edge and trying to setup the remote to control the volume of the Arc. The Tivo remote works just fine with my TV - turns on and off and selects the input without issues. The remote uses IR. To program the remote to control the arc, the Tivo instructions are to select a A/V device from the Tivo remote setup menu and try the different codes to see what works with the Arc. There is not an option to select any Sonos codes, so you apparently must use a code from another brand, My research says thet the Denon codes work with the Arc - but not mine! I have tried all the Denon codes and none of them work.

I have tried several different mfgrs and models with the same result. Program the remote complete and it doesn't work. and I have not done anything special to use cec, although my system is set up to wake on tivo button.

I've been using ChannelsDVR for about a week, and just found the this TechHive article, and followed the instructions. It is great how easily Channels works with the TS4K and remote buttons. I'm in for an annual subscription once my trial ends. Thanks, and keep up the great work!

You will need both the paired RF remote and your TiVo device to perform a global reset. If your paired remote has been lost or damaged, you will need to use a new remote in IR mode to put your TiVo device in a pairing state, then pair the new remote. For instructions, see To Pair a different remote to your DVR.

The following is a step by step guide to upgrading yourTiVo Edge,TiVo Bolt,TiVo Roamio,TiVo Roamio OTA,TiVo Premiere,TiVo Series 3, TiVo HD PVR or TiVo Series 2 Digital Video Recorder to alarger capacity hard drive. It also provides instructions on how to replace a faulty hard drive which typically manifests itself as a TiVo freezing or continually rebooting. For UK customers it explains how to upgrade the Virgin Media Branded TiVos which are simply rebranded TiVo Premiere / Roamio. Australian / New Zealand TiVos are TiVo HD's.

This approach might seem daunting at first but it is actually a very simple procedure that has been done by thousands of people, many without any major computer experience. So please don't be put off by the length of this document. Just read it through once, order your replacement drive and then go through the steps for the method that matches your Tivo and computer setup and you'll have a new expanded tivo running in no time.

It is assumed that you have a basicknowledge of PC computer hardware and that you are comfortable pluggingin hard drives, cdrom drives and/or USB pen drives. You should be comfortable executing a fewsimple command line instructions in Linux (or Windows if you chooseto use the optional Windows method discussed below) although all commands will be given to you so no knowledge of Linux itself is required. If you aren't happy making your own hard drive upgrade a number of companies sell preconfigured drives. Several of them are probably featured on the banner ads on this site.

TiVo Stream - View your TiVo on portable devices

Note streaming between TiVo's does not work over wifi. If you don't have an ethernet connection between all your TiVo's consider adding a MoCa bridge to provide ethernet over your existing coax network. Warning

(Disclaimer)While I have used thisprocedure numerous times without problems to upgrade all versions of TiVohardware you use these instructions at your own risk!No warranty or guarantee of success isoffered with any of these instructions or procedures.Opening your TiVo to upgrade the hard diskwill likely void your warranty. You have been warned! [However, a note from my own experience: TiVothankfully do not include warranty void if opened stickers on their DVRs. Atleast my TiVo Premiere, TiVo HD and TiVo Series 2 didn't have them. The UK Virgin Media TiVo has a sticker over one of the screws but I am reliably informed that this can be easily removed intact (and later replaced) via the careful use of a hairdryer and scalpel. Hence if you keep the olddrive somewhere safe if anything goes wrong they need never know that you openedyour TiVo. :-)]Do NOT touch the power supply - you runthe risk of an electric shock.

While either the Linux or Windows approach should work for TiVo HD,Series 3 or Series 2 you should select whichever youfeel more comfortable with although I recommend reading through bothsets of instructions below just to be sure. For TiVo Premiere the Linuxapproach is the only one currently available.

14) Power on your TiVo BOLT. Go through guided setup and once finished check that the various Apps (Netflix, Amazon, Hulu etc) are working. If they are then you are all done, enjoy your new TiVo BOLT XL. :-) If you get a V312 error [rare with the latest MFSR] then go to TiVo Central - Settings & Messages > Help > Restart or Reset > Clear and Delete Everything. And then follow the instructions.

Installation, set-up, and ongoing functionality of your TiVo box will require internet connectivity by plugging your TiVo box into your router via an Ethernet cable. The instructions below assume that your cable modem, router, and TiVo box are all located at the same coax outlet, near the television you wish to connect.

Instructions for programming your remote control are included with the remote. You can also use our online tool, or view and download a remote manual, which includes instructions for programming the remote.

"A program storage medium readable by a computer, tangibly embodying a program of instructions executable by the computer to perform method steps for bookmarking a user's position within an audio or video program material, comprising the steps as recited in any of claims 1 to 7."

It SHOULD give you everything you need to know to install the app. Thousands have using just the instructions, but if you have never done any Amazon AWS work, it CAN be challenging. That is why I am here I can assist you with some of the more complex items, as can some of those that have gone before you.

Thanks for your answer. Here the traslation of the Sky instructions.

To ensure that the modem you have chosen works correctly with the internet service offered by Sky, your device must meet the following minimum technical requirements:

IPoE IPv4/IPv6 protocol

NAT: MAP-T Mapping of Address and Port, Translation mode (RFC7599)

So, I find the Sky instructions confusing (to me). When they talk about "modem", is that really a description of the "router"? Does Sky offer both cable and fiber service? Could the part about VLAN 101 refer to cable service and not to a fiber connection?

The moral of the story is: maybe getting a different Sky tech support person on the phone and saying, "I want to connect my Netgear router directly to the Sky ONT instead of using the Sky router" would supply the desired instructions.

About your question, yes they are also supplying adsl and other conncetions, but the instructions they give are quite specific for the ftth. They say basically that simply settin the VLAN to 101 the ONT would connect with the Netgear router, but it is proven is not true. ff782bc1db
