We are just a few days away from the 2026 Turnbull Family Reunion in Wilmington!
Attached are the reunion details and reminders. Please take a few minutes to review it before Monday.
As you begin making your way to Wilmington, please share your arrival updates in the family WhatsApp group. We will also use WhatsApp to send daily reminders, parking tips, weather updates, and any last-minute changes, so please make sure at least one person from your household is in the group and checking messages regularly.

Hi Family,
The results are in, and we have exciting news to share—our 2026 Family Reunion will be held in Wilmington, North Carolina! 🌊☀️🏖️
Mark Your Calendars!
The reunion will be three days of planned activities, but of course, you’re welcome to arrive early or stay longer to turn it into a full vacation! Based on the survey results, the two most popular weeks were July 19 – August 1, 2026, so we ask that you hold those dates for now.
Once airlines release flight costs for this time (expected around June 2025), we will finalize the exact dates. If we can confirm sooner, we’ll do so!

What Can You Do Now?
We understand that attending a family reunion can come with costs, so we want to offer a few tips for planning ahead:
Start Saving: Saving $30 - $60 (per person in your household) each month can make a big difference by the time the reunion rolls around.
Reconnect Now: Use this time to reach out to family members you may not have spoken with in a while. Catching up now will make the reunion even more meaningful when you see each other in person.
Update Your Contact Information: Make sure the planning committee has your current phone number and email so you don’t miss any updates. See Help! Updating the Family Contact List.

The planning committee is now working on finalizing the details around the date, schedule, accommodations, budget, and registration.

We’re working on keeping our family records up-to-date and need your help! We’ve created a Google Spreadsheet to collect and organize information for each household. This will help us stay connected and make planning for future events, like our 2026 Family Reunion, easier and more efficient.
Here’s what we’re asking:

Planning for the next family reunion has begun! Here is a brief update on our planned timeline and what you can expect over the coming months:
Outreach & Re-Connection (October - December 2024): Our family reunions are special because they allow us to reconnect with relatives near and far. To ensure that we include as many family members as possible, we are dedicating the next few months to focused outreach. Whether it’s through phone calls, emails, or social media, our goal is to ensure that no family member is left out. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to participate, share their input, and stay informed about reunion plans. By strengthening our family connections now, we can create a reunion experience that truly reflects everyone’s desires and brings us all together.
Initial Survey (January - February 2025): Sometime in January/February, the family can look forward to receiving information about reunion options, and a short survey to get your input on dates, locations, and activities. Your feedback is essential to creating an event that works for everyone.
Save the Date (March 2025): Once we finalize the details, we’ll send out an official "Save the Date" with more concrete information about the location, date, and schedule.
We will send regular updates as planning continues and we progress through this timeline, and you can expect communications to increase as we near the family reunion.
