Amanda graduated from Waubun High School and attended Rita’s Moorhead Beauty school directly after high school where she obtained her Minnesota Cosmetology Managers License. She accepted a job as the Northstar Program Coordinator for White Earth Indian Reservation in the child protection department.  Amanda helped make a large impact on many families and children’s lives. She currently left that position after working 10 years for the White Earth Indian Reservation to start working full time with her family business as Financial Operations Manager.

She is also a member of the LYO board that leads many of the youth events and fundraisers for the church that she attends. MICHELLE THORDAL- President-Elect

Shelly and her husband Justin reside in Ulen. They have three wonderful children and a lab named Cash, all of which keep her very busy.

Shelly has a BA from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She has spent her career serving others working first as a social worker in Child Protection and then as a Lead Social Worker for over 15 years.  She is currently a Social Services Supervisor where she supervises Child Protection and Children's Mental Health programs. Shelly has served on the Ulen- Hitterdal Community Education Board for 10 years.  She is also a member of the Ulen Civic and Commerce both of which plan events for the Ulen Community throughout the year.

Shelly is a proud, life long resident of Ulen. She chose to raise her children in this community because she believes children should have the opportunity to participate in any activity they desire.  Small schools allow for this but also need additional support to afford this opportunity to its students. She believes that being involved and school pride are vital in supporting small schools. She is looking forward to the exciting opportunities to support our Titan Community by serving on the Titan Booster Club.
