Upon entering the Discord server, you will be very limited on what channels you can see or use. When you first say something (in a channel), you should be automatically assigned your appropriate roles, granting you access to the greater server channels.
If a Mod doesn't respond in #ask-a-mod, use @Staff to get our attention. (Note that posting in ask-a-mod pings the mods)
For the new Patrons: The Server is on version 1.21.1 for Season 10.
Moderators have their names colored Dark Green (and Green on the servers), with Staff colored teal. Tango is Red. MrsTango is Pink. These match the colors defined in Discord as well as on Titancraft.
These rules are meant to keep the community fair and avoid conflicts. Most of these are common sense for all of you, but you are expected to know them. Ignorance of a rule is not a valid excuse for not following it. Most rule violations will get a warning from a moderator, though some are grounds for an immediate ban.
The #ask-a-mod channel pings all Staff every time someone posts, so posting there will get you a response as fast as possible. You can also send messages to an individual Staff member if you’d like to keep the matter private, but be aware that a response may take longer that way. We are not telepathic, so if something's wrong, tell us or we cannot help you. We do not mind trying to help, it is why we are Mods and Staff.
The minecraft server does this automaticity when you link your account.
If someone asks you to leave them alone, then do so. If you know or suspect that saying or doing something will hurt someone else, don’t do it. If you have a problem with another patron, contact the moderators.
If you aren’t sure if a word counts as profanity, then it does. If someone tells you something is hurtful, believe them.
Be respectful of each other’s identities, beliefs and choices.
This includes pure-vanilla cheats such as item or TNT duplication and X-Raying by any means. Violations of this rule will not be tolerated and will result in an *immediate ban*. If you see something done in a YouTube video and do not understand if a mechanic is using a bug that violates this rule, post the video to #ask-a-mod in discord to review it before you try it.
If it is not yours, leave it alone and don't take it. Period. If you have an issue with someone else’s build, contact the moderators and we’ll do our best to resolve the situation. This includes inquiries about removing inactive, unfinished, and abandoned builds or nether tunnels. Do not take matters into your own hands. Additionally, this can include non-consenting PVP, and placing TNT in public areas or next to builds that are not yours. Violations of this rule will not be tolerated and will result in an *immediate ban*.
Titancraft uses a whitelist to prevent non-patrons from joining, but we’d still prefer to keep the IP private, so don’t post it anywhere or provide it to anyone. This includes posting it in channels within the Discord itself; if another patron has forgotten the IP, direct them to #server-announcements in discord rather than telling them directly. If you’re recording or streaming from the patron server, make sure the IP isn’t visible.
You only get one Minecraft account per Patreon account.
Any program, process, or mod option that would automatically act to reconnect you to the server is not allowed. While useful to maintain a user’s ability to AFK, auto-reloggers can impede our abilities to combat lag. Players found to be using auto-reloggers may be hit with a temp ban.
Spawn is defined as the Spawn Island and 500 ocean blocks in any direction of the Spawn Island. Spawn Island also encompasses the Shopping District. See Shopping District Rules below. The Eastern region of Spawn Island is intended for the Entertainment District. The rough outline of this restriction area is x-2030 z-2100 at the NW corner and x760 z0 at the SE corner.
Place signs/markers around locations you plan to build at. Make sure you’re not disrupting anyone else’s builds. In general, this means avoid building within viewable distance of someone else. If in doubt, contact Staff for confirmation before starting a large build if you are uncertain of clearance. Decisions on these problems will be solely up to Staff discretion, and should not be dealt with personally.
Accidents and Creepers happen, but you need to fix any damage you cause to areas of other players, including holes in the ground. If you do not have the materials, ask for help. If you're unable to fix it, or don't know how, leave a sign and contact the area owner. If you don't know who to contact, contact Staff and we can try to help.
🔸What is an entity? Press F3+B; if it has a hitbox, it's an entity. (https://minecraft.wiki/w/Entity) If it won’t despawn and you’re not going to be killing or otherwise removing it in short order, it’s considered persistent. If it will despawn or be removed, it's considered temporary.
🔸You may not have more than 50 persistent entities loaded at a time, and that count may contain a maximum of 20 villagers.
🔸Entities are counted based on how many can be loaded at a time; if you can stand in any spot and have more entities loaded than
permitted, they're too close.
🔸 A player loads their present chunk and a square around them, with the edges being nine chunks in all directions.
🔸Temporary entities must be removed promptly, without excessive buildup. What counts as excessive is up to the mods.
🔸Potion effect mob farms can have no more than 5 infested effect carrying entities in a loaded area, with no more than 30 to be splashed with any other effects at one time. All the temporary entities must be cleared out quickly to prevent creating extreme numbers of entities.
If you think that someone has too many passive creatures, please notify the Mod Team and we will take care of it. Killing another person’s passive entities IS considered Griefing.
🔸 We define an Iron Farm as a single 3-villager group spawning iron golems.
🔸 Only one Iron Farm may be loaded by a single player at a time.
🔸 Villagers in an Iron Farm are included in count under the 50-Entity Rule.
🔸 Villagers in an Iron Farm are included in maximum of 20 villagers Rule.
🗺️ A player loads their present chunk and a square around them, with the edges being nine chunks in all directions.
⚠️ Iron farms found to exceed 3 villagers, or found to be loading simultaneously as other Iron Farms may be altered or removed by Mods.
📊 This rule excludes the public "Titan" Iron Farm at Spawn.
Keep in mind how your builds may affect others and avoid building anything that might significantly hurt server performance. Don’t like server lag? Neither do we.
🔸 Moderators will always have the right to remove or alter any build causing serious performance problems.
🔸 If you are planning a nether portal-based farm, note that the Maximum number of Max-size portals allowed is 20. Alternatively, if smaller portals are used, the maximum number of portals will be based on the portal blocks in 20 portals
(A Max-size portal is 23x23).
🔸Potion effect mob farms can have no more than 5 infested effect carrying entities in a loaded area, with no more than 30 to be splashed with any other effects at one time. All the temporary entities must be cleared out quickly to prevent creating extreme numbers of entities.
🔸 If you are planning a large build, it is best to talk with a moderator first for approval (See #ask-a-mod.)
🔸 Devices that cause constant chunk-loading (e.g. redstone contraption involving portals) are not allowed due to negative server impact.
We encourage players to spread out in order to avoid building too close to neighbors. World borders are in place to maintain the limits. Do not try to pass the borders.
🔸 Overworld: -15,000 to +15,000
🔸 The Nether: -3500 to +3500 (No portals may be placed beyond the Overworld limits, about +/-1,875)
🔸 The End: -10,000 to +10,000
If you need a piece of bedrock broken, you can attempt to find a way to do it yourself. We don’t consider it cheating and don’t care if you do it on your own, but moderators will not remove bedrock for you under any circumstances.
We are careful about Minecraft Client-side mods due to how they can impact the experience of both you and other players. As such, we have a list of Mods we have approved for use with TitanCraft. If a mod is not listed, please ask us in #ask-a-mod on Discord.
🗒️ List Available here.
⛔ Using an allowed mod in a fashion that explicitly breaks another rule (such as no cheating, x-raying, etc.) is still breaking that rule and subject to consequence of that rule.
There are unusual circumstances that a player can lose items or die (e.g including bugging/ender pearling through the floor into lava). These are part of Minecraft and we will not create/reimburse those items unless a moderator’s actions were involved in the loss.
📊 Regenerating Encounter Areas are the Resetting Ocean Monument, End Cities, and The Above.
Remaining AFK in, or logging out in the area and back in, or constantly running between Encounter Areas to check if a Regenerating Encounter Area has reset is "camping." These areas are meant to allow everyone a chance to challenge these encounters, not just a select few trying to exploit it.
🔸Main tunnels run in all four cardinal directions to +/-1875.
🔸Main tunnels will have ice paths bordered by slabs based on the tunnel theme.
🔸Ice path border slabs can be replaced by other slabs (such as wood slabs), but cannot be removed.
🔸Personal tunnel decorations cannot obstruct or pass the slab border.
🔸Nether Paths/tunnels must be spawn proofed *32 blocks* out from the main tunnels. If your tunnel/path is at least 5 blocks wide and 4 blocks tall, it must be spawn proofed at least *64 blocks* out from the main tunnels. Staff may apply a safety wall to offending tunnels to prevent spawns entering the main tunnel.
🔸Nether farms may not be built *near* or *above* the hub or main tunnels. If the farm can be loaded by players in the hub or tunnels, it is too close.
🔸 Small market stalls are available to claim near the spawn factory. To claim, place a sign on the slab between the two barrels. Mods
reserve the right to remove any unattended shops and return leftover inventory.
🔸 The shopping district is divided into two types of plots: Normal 15x15 plots, and Titan 33x33 plots.
🔸 A player or group may use a maximum of 6 plots. This plot count can include up to 2 Titan plots, 6 Normal plots, or a combination of these (e.g. 2 Titan, 4 Normal).
🔸 If plots are adjacent, those plots may be connected along straight lines to form a single larger area. A shop may be no larger than 6 connected plots.
🔸 Be aware space is limited. If acting as a group, be mindful of other players. Use only plots you need for your shop and try not to be excessive.
🔸 No part of a shop (including underground areas and overhangs) may exceed the footprint of the plot(s) it's on. (If a Mod thinks it is part of the build, it is considered part of the build.)
🔸 If you need a path altered, contact Staff before making any changes.
🔸 You are allowed to build outside your plot strictly for connecting your shop to the adjacent main path.
🔸 Do not claim land for a shop unless you are able to provide the wares you intend to sell. Mods reserve the right to remove any unused claims that appear stagnant.
🔸 All shops must have a visible sign in the shop with the name(s) of the owner(s).
🔸 Do not block or crowd other players' shops.
🔸 No entities within the Shopping District. The SD is in the Spawn chunks, so any entities are loaded 100% of the time.
🔸 Builds in the district must be a shop. Builds found to not be strictly shops must be removed or relocated to a more suitable location outside the SD.
🔸 No unnecessarily tall structures used strictly for advertising, or that impose a flight hazard (eg. billboards).
🔸 No permanent beacons, real or fake. Beacons can be used temporarily during the construction of your shop. Mods will place Speed Beacons when available.
🔸 Farms of any kind are not allowed within the shopping district.
🔸 This world is strictly for Map Art. Bases, farms, etc. are not allowed in this world.
🔸 Light up your areas to prevent spawning.
To be whitelisted on the server, you must connect your Minecraft account to your Patreon and Discord accounts using MinecraftAuthentication. To do this:
1️⃣ Navigate to https://minecraftauth.me. Click the Login with Microsoft button and proceed to login and allow the connection.
2️⃣ Use the buttons below to hook in your Minecraft, Discord, and Patreon accounts.
3️⃣ Once all three accounts are linked, you're done. You can now connect to TC via the address pinned in #server-announcements.
4️⃣ After entering Titancraft for the first time, you will be locked in Spawn. To exit, type /discord link into the chat window inside of Minecraft. This will generate a code. Private message the code to RustyBot in Discord. Disconnect and reconnect to TC and you're set.
