Students in TREE participate in a diverse range of activities that fuse scientific principles with real-world adventure skills. This class is designed to offer experiences that students might never encounter otherwise!
Aquatic Exploration: Snorkeling to study local freshwater ecosystems, evaluating our stream health, raising Salmon/Trout in the classroom and learning basic fishing techniques.
Backcountry Skills: Hiking, navigation practice, and basic search and rescue (SAR) operations training.
Outdoor Crafts & Focus: Developing precision through archery and practicing patience and artistry through whittling/woodworking.
Environmental Science: Applying classroom concepts like ecology, conservation, while practicing wetland restoration.
